In the contemporary times ,the smart phones in our hands is the need of hour .They keep us updated about all the happenings in the world & our almost routine work is online .Also this magical box is a nice way to be entertained, but we have turned addicted to these smart phones so badly . We remain busy in running different applications on the smart phones even after dinner time that used to be discussion time in our homes . We hardly spend a great time with our family being their right .The four corners of a room are used for uploading profile pictures on what’s app & facebook, and watching reels & checking status.
We ought to visit homes of our relatives to inquire about their day to day life by face to face interaction, but it has been replaced by a video call ….All the relatives come live one by one through the video which is enough for a month .Even an ailing person is forced to be the part of the video call instead visiting him personally .Now a days , invitation for a wedding ceremony is also being kept confined to an audio call .Going to home of a relative for making invitation was an opportunity for us to meet our relatives occasionally face to face, but the mobile phone is snatching it from us.. A year ago , I visited my in-laws when an elderly person died, thereafter mobile phone in action. On one hand we are being benefited by the use of technology ,but the other hand we are forgetting the centuries old tradition of visiting our relatives time.& again . God forbids, time may come soon we will be writing the condolence messages to our close relatives on different social media platforms without taking part in the last rites of the deads & that is it ! .It is time to rethink & to revive the old traditions wherein we used to visit our relatives weekly or fortnightly & don’t make a video call as its substitute
It is my opinion & yours can be different.*We should not keep relation with a relative confined to Hello & Hello
