Among 4 persons affected with COVID-19 in Kashmir, 2 are students from Kerala doing MDS in a dental college in Srinagar, one 72-year-old from Bandipora and a young man from Srinagar.

Those from Jammu province included a student from Reasi, a young man from Babliana (Jammu) and another youth from Kathua district.
Urging people not to panic, the Health official said the condition of all the patients is stable.

“The present variant of COVID-19 does not exhibit severe symptoms, and most cases are mild. That is the reason, the Centre has not issued any guidelines, but advised all to remain vigilant,” he stated, adding, the J&K Government is taking necessary precautions. He advised people to undergo a test if they have any symptoms and remain isolated.

Meanwhile, the number of active COVID-19 cases in India has crossed 3,000, with Kerala accounting for the highest at 1,336, followed by Maharashtra and Delhi. ( Daily Excelsior)
