Srinagar, Mar, 23: Mohammad Sarfaraz 34 years old Icestock player hailing from Rajbagh area of district Srinagar who has Completed his bachelor’s degree from Amar Singh College and had represented Kashmir 03 times on international level, 06 times on national, state and district level.
During Conversation Sarfaraz said, i had started playing from 2014 and had played my nationals from 2014-2019 where i had been 4 times gold medalist in which I Represent 6 times on state and district level where he had been 3 times gold medalist at respective levels.
Apart from this Sarfaraz had played many other sports but has chosen Icestock as his dream sports where he is giving his best in this field. He had played his first international under the name of 12th Icestocksports World Championship which was held in 2018 at Austria, Europe, In 2019 he played in 1st International Icestock sport China where he had scored 154 points in Target Competition which is currently highest score by a player from Asia and is at the first rank in Asia.He played his 3rd international 13th Icestocksport World Championship in 2020 which was held in Germany.
Sarfaraz is handling the game in J&K .He has been selected as the General Secretary and coach for J&K Icestock association. He is the currently the Captain of Indian Icestock Team since 2018.His whole team is preparing for Olympics 2026 as there has been none from J&K since 1988
He said,sports stimulate the physical and mental growth of a child. A person who regularly plays sports develops a healthy body, develops better body strength and better coordination. The physical benefits also include maintaining a healthy weight, preventing chronic diseases and learning the skills necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The enhancement of physical and mental development of children is certainly the most important contribution of sports, but the list of values a child may acquire through sports does not end here. The positive aspects are numerous, which reveals the true beauty of sport.
During the end of conversation he said that one should always believe in yourself but at the se time should stay humble. Our youth should be hungry for success and should be the hardest worker in the field. As you embark on your journey to achieve success, please remember that winning is merely a result and not our purpose. It doesn’t matter what you are trying to accomplish. It’s all a matter of discipline in the end.
