Kulgam, Apr, 29: Kulgam Police held a meeting with Auqaf committees and immams in the jurisdiction of Police Station Yaripora regarding adherence to the COVID-19 containment measures to be followed in Masjid shareefs at Police Station Yaripora.
The meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Yaripora Insp. Ayaaz Geelani in which Masjid immams and auqaf committees in the jurisdiction of Police Station Yaripora participated.
During meeting it was emphasised upon the participants to reduce the rush in the Masjid Shareefs for which the participants have expressed that the Masjid managements have already reduced the rush by more than 50%.
The immams and auqaf committees were also impressed upon to revisit the SOPs being followed in the Masjid Shareefs and ensure that those offering prayers should wear masks and to maintain social distancing strictly and other hygiene related steps to contain covid-19 spread.
The participants were requested to make the general public aware about the virus and motivate them to strictly adhere to the Govt orders regarding lockdown.
The participates assured that all the directions with regard to containment of Covid-19 shall be followed strictly and shall explore possibilities of further reducing the rush in the Masjids.
