Srinagar, May 5: Noted Social activist Inam Un Nabi has felicitated photojournalists Mukhtar Khan, Dar Yasin and Channi Anand for winning the globally renowned Pulitzer award in feature photography.
Inam observed: “This is an incredible honour for not just Dar Yasin, Mukhtar Khan but to entire valley of Kashmir. Photojournalists of Kashmir have shined on global stage as they have worked in toughest circumstances, risked their lives and always tried to capture pain and plight of Kashmir in an objective manner. More power to their cameras.”
Inam observed that prestigious Pulitzer award to the two Kashmiri journalists proves the mettle and grit of Kashmir media.
He hoped that free press would be a reality soon as journalists in Kashmir have been working under the toughest conditions.
Inam added that this prestigious award will motivate other youngsters as well.
