Off-Duty Cop Waiting for Child’s School Bus Killed in Pulwama

Pulwama, May 13, KDC: An off-duty police constable, who was waiting for his child’s school bus, was shot dead at Gudoora area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday morning.
An official source told KDC that two unidentified bike-borne militants fired upon a constable identified as Riyaz Ahmad Thoker, son of Ali Mohammad Thoker, a resident of Gudoora.
Thoker after receiving bullet injuries, was rushed to district hospital Pulwama for treatment from where he was shifted to Army base hospital, he said, adding that injured cop succumbed to his injuries at the facility.
“He was on leave & waiting for his child’s school bus when two unidentified bike-borne men allegedly opened fire on him,” a top police official told Kashmir Dot Com.
After the incident, the whole area was cordoned off to nab the attackers. (KDC)
