Independence Day: J&K Admin asks all Govt employees to attend main functions in Sgr, Jammu
Srinagar, Aug 02 : On the occasion of Independence Day, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has directed all government employees to attend main functions to be held in Srinagar and Jammu respectively.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), a copy of which lies with the Kashmir News Corner (KNC), Independence Day is an important national event celebrated on August 15 every year. “All government employees are duty bound to participate in commemorating such an important turning point in the history of our nation,” the order reads, adding that “In view of the above all the officers/officials in the UT stationed at Srinagar/Jammu are enjoined upoun to attend the main function of the Independence Day Celebrations 2024 at the Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar/Maulana Azad Stadium Jammu, as part of their official duty. Any absence shall be only permissible with prior permission of their immediate superior,” the order reads—(KNC)
