Despite one of important component of state’s school education sector & it’s autonomous status under the provisions of J&K Board Act 1975, it was always casually handled by the erstwhile state rulers particularly during last 25 years, alleged by AAM AADMI PARTY-J&K, Jammu in a press release issued today here at Jammu for media. Like any established system, students the future of the nation are mainly focused for education, similarly, school education department is ment for teaching arrangements and finally it is the duty of Board to check, streamline & mark the working performance of both students & teachers, AAP- J&K added. Now when we see the results on ground, can’t treat those good where again fingers are often raised on both teachers & Board, it added. When we talk of Govt sector, Directorates of school education seem emerged as defamed transfer industry where kith & kin of ruling class & influential easily manage the postings & attachments within cities & towns against minimum strength of students whereas rural area schools have to face the shortage of teachers despite strength of students. Similarly, except 2-3% of heavy budgeted schools, complete private sector has to face the multiple crisis again due to miss-monitoring of JK Board & uncaring attitude of govt, it further alleged. Again despite hue & cry on Corona related social distancing, the JK school Board is preffering offline practice deliberately without any fear just to fetch huge corruption amount by way of commission from blue eyed printers, AAP again alleged. Chairperson of JK BOSE has to retire On 30th. April 2020 but very cleverly she was provided 2 months extension, AAP alleged. As a routine, a search committee fot the new Bose chairmen was to be shaped in beginning of January 2020 but it was intentionally delayed up to 15 April as an excuse for extension, it added. An unwanted race is being observed among the Chairman’s post aspirants of both school education & higher education officials but to us, not a single school education related official should be appointed against any administrative posts of JK school Board in the larger interests of students by way of distancing the expected unholy nexuses of Board & school education deptt. Officials, it added. We further suggest that Chairman post of Board either should be given to any senior & reputed Head of department of University or any IAS level officer with good academic image, AAP urged. Similarly, for the posts of Secretary & Joint secretaries, again University level reputed professors & college principals must be appointed as Joint Secretaries of Board, it futher urged. Our humble appeal before the LG administration is to stop the since long casual handling of JK Board while considering our above said proposals those can only give a required shape to the derailed working of Board while needed distancing of the school education department officials in the best interests of students, it further urged & concluded.
