Female soldiers keeping an eye on smuggling in Kupwara
Kupwara August 11: The army has posted a female soldiers at Sadhna Top in north Kashmir’s Kupwara District in order to keep a check on the weapons and drug smuggling in the district.
An official informed Kashmir Despatch about this development said, the area used to be prone to the smuggling where the women and children were used to carry out smuggling. However, the lady soldiers of the Army from the Assam Rifles who have been posted there are carrying out checking of women and children who come from Tangdhar to Kupwara.
The high-end machinery has been put in place to make sure that the no illegal items are brought in from the point the officer added.
Meanwhile talking with Kashmir Despatch the female soldiers said that they liked Kashmir and the people of Kashmir who are peace-loving and cooperative
