Ganderbal: The administration in Ganderbal has re-imposed restrictions in the district after witnessing spike in Covid-19 positive cases from last many days.
As per the order, Whereas, there is continuous surge in number of COVID-19 Positive cases in
Ganderbal from last few days, and Whereas, it has been reported that public unnecessarily throng to the Market(s) and
violate the SOPs/adversories in vogue, and
Whereas due to spike in COVID-19 Positive Cases and non-adherence to
SOPs/Adversories the Ganderbal residents have become more susceptibleof COVID -19;and
Whereas, it has been felt expedient to break further transmission of COVID- 19 and has become imperative to take stringent precautionary measures by completely restricting
the movement in Ganderbal district w.e.f 29th August, 2020 (Saturday) till 5h September

Therefore, in view of above, I Shafqat lqbal (KAS), District Magistrate Ganderbal,
in exercise of powers vested in me under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section 144 CrPc, do hereby order as under
That there shall be complete lockdown in district District Ganderbal w.e.f 29th
August, 2020 (Saturday) till 5 September, 2020 (Saturday) except for Medical
Emergencies/ Essential Services.
Any person s/group(s)institution(s) found violating the directions contained herein this
order shall be booked under the provisions of relevant actrule/law.
The Police authorities /Executive Magistrates /ncident Commanders shall enforce the
order in their respective areas of jurisdiction forthwith.
