Srinagar, Apr 18: G.M Shaheen, the former Janata Dal United President for Jammu and Kashmir who recently quit the party will launch a new political party shortly.
Sources said that this new party will be backed by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Shaheen while talking to KNT said that a meeting of the central leadership was held in Srinagar today in which it was unanimously decided to launch a new political party that will work for the common people.
He said that majority of the workers and members are happy with my decision of leaving the party.
“We will highlight the issues of common people and will leave no stone unturned in resolving the problems of the people,” he said. (KNT)
