Srinagar, Apr 7: Cordon and search operation is in progress in four villages of South Kashmir’s Pulwama and Shopian districts.
Sources said that combined forces laid a siege in Shopian and Pulwama villages and conducted search operations after inputs about the movement of militants in these hamlets.
The hamlets that were brought under siege included Inder Pulwams (55 RR), Melhora Wachi in Shopian (55 RR), Chitragam Shopian (01 RR) and Midora Tral Pulwama (42 RR).
The search operations were under progress till the filing of this report.
Pertinently, an overnight cordon and search operation is still underway in Gulab Bagh area of Srinagar outskirts. (KNT)
