Kupwara, Aug 4: Security forces on Monday unearthed a terrorist hideout during a joint search operation in the Kalaroos area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, recovering arms, ammunition, and incriminating material.
A top police officer told news agency Kashmir News Corner – KNC that the three-day operation, carried out jointly by the Army, BSF, and J&K Police, led to the discovery of a stony cave used as a hideout by terrorists.
“The recovery includes 12 Chinese grenades, a Chinese pistol with ammunition, a Kenwood radio set, an Urdu IED manual, and fire sticks,” the officer said.
He added that the timely operation has “foiled a possible nefarious plan of terrorists in the area,” while stressing that joint forces remain committed to dismantling the terror network. (KNC)
