NIA Raids Multiple Locations in Kupwara, Anantnag Over Alleged OGW Network

Srinagar, Aug 22, : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday morning conducted simultaneous searches at multiple locations in Kupwara and Anantnag districts of Jammu and Kashmir as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged Over Ground Worker (OGW) network, officials said.
In Kupwara district, NIA teams accompanied by personnel from the CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out searches at two locations in the Police District Handwara.
The searches were conducted at Khanpora Babagund and Vodhpora areas as part of the ongoing investigation, officials said.
In Anantnag district, NIA teams also conducted searches at two locations, including Bijbehara. One of the searches was carried out at SICOP in Bijbehara.
The central agency was assisted by local police and CRPF personnel during the operations.
The searches were underway and further details regarding the case and outcome of the operations were awaited. [KNT]
