Awantipora 28 December 2020: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddler from Awantipora area.
Acting on information Awantipora Police placed a special Naka at Nambal Crossing and arrested two drug peddler identified as:
1) Waseem Ahmad Trag S/O Ali Mohammad Trag
R/O Tral
2)Mohammad Lateef Sheikh
S/O Abdul Rehman Sheikh
R/O Batagund Tral
17 bottles of controlled drug Codeine Phosphate based syrup and 39 Spasmo-Prohyvon tablets was recovered from the possession of arrested persons.
Vehicle THAR(Jeep) bearing registration number JK01X -4920 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.
Case FIR Number 102/2020 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
