Srinagar, Jan 08: A 24-year-old youth from North Kashmir is set to publish his second book on Kashmir’s history.
Yanus Nazir, a resident of Watergam Baramulla after pursuing BCA, has worked as a freelancer digital marketer, and technical content writer. He has also worked in multiple IT firms.
Yanus while talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he started writing at a very early age.
“When I was pursuing BCA outside J&K, people used to gaze at Kashmiris differently, and think Kashmiris are extremist. It was at that time I decided to write a book, depicting Kashmir’s rich history and how people suffered while living in conflict,” he said.
Yanus said he wrote a book namely “Stars Don’t Shine Under The Shadows Of Conflict” in which he has described that supporting the welfare of Kashmir isn’t extremism.
“In this book, I have also mentioned the ground situation of the 90’s in Kashmir that I have heard from my parents, grandparents and others,” he said, adding that despite that the book is being portrayed as a love story but the message is loud and clear that people in Kashmir are peace-loving.
“However, living in conflict, how people get affected by one or the other way,” he said.
Yanus said his second book is based on the history of around the 15th century and comparison between the lifestyle of then and today.
“A writer must observe things keenly so that he can write things in a better way and it will have a good impact on readers,” he said—(KNO)
