Sobia altaf is a national athlete and state 5 times gold ? medalists in jk. She also has won another medals in gymnastics.
Sobia altaf has played through (SGFI) school games federation of india in kargil for trials and she has selected in national level in MP indore.she is also good in handflips,streching and etc.
Sobia altaf is equally proud of her father,who despite odds and societal pressure provided all possible facilities and support to her daughter.
Besides her father,the whole family has being very supportive throughout her journey.
Sobia altaf said;
One thing i love in sports is discipline.our brain dumps everything,once you are in the game,” she adds.
I live in the downtown and during turmoil it becomes difficult to Me to go outside,but i always make it a point not to miss my karate classes and also gymnastics classes,says sobia altaf despite performing well in her field.
Sobia altaf argues that there is no monitoring support from the state sport councils for the players.
Sobia altaf said;
Karate and gymnastics is a highly satisfying and recognise d the game.she is playing for her self,
However,she gives the credit to her coach,” DR.GhULAM MUSTAFA MIR who is associated with the sport for the last 35 years.
Sobia altaf says it wouldn’t been possible for her to win these awards without his guideness.
” Winning or losing” is a part of this sport ,but giving moral support to a player pushes him/her for success.
We want to be more bright in his own field.Its her dream to became a future star of j & k. Her family is superbly supporting her.she want to be a first female coach of j&k and a best player of j&k.
May allah? give her success in the way she is working hard.
