Srinagar , Feb 1: In a shocking move , new Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gul suspended well known cricketer Abid Nabi on first day of her joining office as Secretary Sports Council.
Nuzhat Gul who assumed charge of Secretary Sports Council on Monday in place of Naseem Javed Chowdhary signed suspension orders of Abid Nabi who is junior coach in Sports Council.
As per the to order, a copy of which lies with KNT Abid Nabi has been suspended for misconduct.
The order no.51 of 2021 dated 01-02-2021 reads , ” Pending enquiery into his misconduct Abid Nabi , junior cricket coach is hereby placed under suspension in terms of provision of J&K classification control and appeal rules with immediate effect. The suspended is attached with Divisional Sports Officer (K), J&K Sports Council”.
Joint secretary Sports Council has been asked to conduct enquiry and submit a report within a period of 15 days .
According to Sports Council Abid Nabi who is well known cricket figure in J&K has been placed under suspension in wake of his tussle with J&K Cricket Association .
“There was pressure from higher ups to place Abid under suspension on the back of his issues with another cricketer and JKCA,” Sports Council sources told News Agency Kashmir News Trust.
