Srinagar: Musaib Hameed 22 years old athlete and sketch artist hailing from Batamaloo area of district Srinagar, pursuing masters degree who has represented Kashmir once on national level , 03 times on state level and 05 times on district level.
During an interview Musaib said , I started making portraits from 2020.He is a self taught artist who is really touching the heights of success due to his unique art of sketching . He is passionate about his art and want to give wings to his dreams. Artists uses their unique form of artwork to pass along their views and feelings.
The importance and value of art and the artist to society has remained constant throughout history.Art produced by an artist creates an innovative way of viewing the world or society around us. Interpreting art depends on a person or artist experiences, their associations, visionary thoughts and culture.He said that an artist can paint any situation through his art may it be happy or sad.
Apart from this he is a national martial art player and had represented Kashmir on national level in many games. He is a Wushu Martial Arts player where he had played his first nationals held in Jammu in 2019 and secured 4th rank in it. He had represented Kashmir 03 times on state level which were held at Jammu in 2017,18 and 19 where he has been silver medalist 02 times and 05 times on district level from 2016 – 2020 where he had been silver and bronze medalist.

He has been selected for nationals this year. He said that “Sports in drugs out” where he meant that youth should be provided with more and more platforms so that they could remain away from the wrong paths . They should get more passionate about their aims and hobbies and should try their best to reach upto the best possible expectations.
It’s very unfortunate that in our j&k valley we don’t have any professional platforms where we can represent our art as other states had already provide their artists in their state through different categories. We are requesting to our state administration that in our valley we have much talent as compare to other states of our country but due to the lack of infrastructure we are unable to utilize it, now it is time to come forward and provide the professional platforms to the talent of kashmir valley to represent the kashmir valley on national and international level.
