Shopian Encounter: Two more militants killed, toll reaches to 05, searches on

Srinagar, April 09:(GNS) Two more militants have been killed taking toll to five in an encounter at Jan Mohalla area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
Official sources told GNS, that two more militants have been killed in an encounter, however identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
He further said that the operation was started yesterday evening and prolonged till now due to the presence of militants in Mosque.
IGP and GOC also rushed yesterday to the encounter site to monitor operation personally.
Earlier Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Jan Mohalla.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
