As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in a tweet, Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has announced extension in the existing restrictions across J&K in wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“Corona Curfew imposed in all 20 districts of J&K till 7 am on Monday, 10/5/21 is extended further by 7 days till 7 am on Monday, 17/5/21. The curfew will be strict except for a few essential services,” DIPR-J&K tweeted.

The tweet also stated that the gathering permissible for marriages has been reduced to 25 only.

“Further, the gathering permissible for marriages is reduced to 25 only w.e.f. today, 9/5/21,” DIPR-J&K tweeted. Pertinently, the Corona Curfew continued to remain in place since April 29 evening in order to prevent the virus from spreading.

Meanwhile, official sources told KNO that ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr, the government is likely to give relaxations from 8 am to 12 noon on Tuesday for buying/ selling of essentials under strict adherence of Covid-protocols. “The relaxations will be followed by proper Covid behavior and violators will be dealt with strictly,” he said—(KNO)
