Anantnag, June 24: A South Kashmir man who was lodged at Hiranagar Jail of Jammu has been released from the jail and handed over to police today.
Amir Ahmed Khan, a resident of Marhama Bijbehara was lodged at Hiranagar Jail from past one year. He had been booked by Police in a militancy related case and an FIR vide number 28/ 2019 under section 5 Explosive Act, 18 ULAP stands registered against him at police station Bijbehara.
The court had quashed his detention and today he was released from the Jail and handed over to Achabal Police for further investigation.
Sources said that the said youth will likely to be released and handed over to family. (KNT)
