To tackle the crisis amid covid pandemic and to sustain maternity services for non Covid pregnant women(RT- PCR negative) , SDH Pattan Baramulah has been designated as full time Maternity and Child care hospital.
The hospital is catering all non covid expecting mothers from district Baramulah since April 16 2020.
The hospitals has conducted 70 LSCS and 71 normal vaginal deliveries from from 16 April 2020 till now.
To tackle the crisis imposed by pandemic it was very much imperative to sustain maternal services for both Covid-19 positive and non-covid expecting mother’s.
Further SDH Pattan has performed covid testing of 60 more expecting mothers who have expected date of delivery (EDD) in coming days.
Meanwhile said hospital has line listed more than 100 pregnant ladies who have expected date of delivery (EDD) in the month of May 2020.
SDH Sopore is functioning as designated covid hospital and has conducted LSCS of two pregnant women, who had tested positive for COVID-19 and both the mothers and babies are fine.
