Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party urged the President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind for urgent intervention for restoration of statehood of Jammu & Kashmir which was founded in 1846 by Maharaja Gulab Singh uniting the State of Jammu & Kashmir. It was sad rather unfortunate that Jammu & Kashmir was demolished by the Parliament of India on the resolution of BJP on 5th August, 2019. It was for the first time that Jammu & Kashmir was reduced to a Union Territory for no reason and no justification.

NPP Supremo asked Prime Minister Modi and his government as to with what face the BJP is demanding the return Gilgit & Baltistan as well as POK into a Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Pakistan has given statehood to Gilgit & Baltistan, though artificial and illegal, yet the National Government in Delhi has to justify the conversion of State of Jammu & Kashmir into a Union Territory. What is the justification in National as well as in International Law for a State, presently under the illegal occupation of Pakistan, say Gilgit-Baltistan to merge in a Union Territory only. NPP Supremo accused the Modi Government for misleading the Nation by issuing such slogans which have no substance nor they are saleable in the international market.

Prof. Bhim Singh reminded Prime Minister Modi about two important get to-gathers of the representatives of Gilgit-Baltistan, POK and Jammu & Kashmir which were organized in New Delhi in 2005 & 2007. The present govt. is trying to exploit the people on the issues which need to be settled/resolved jointly by the representatives of Gilgit-Baltistan, POK and Jammu & Kashmir (including Ladakh).

Prof. Bhim Singh reminded the rulers of Delhi of their early blunders and the recent blunder in respect of Jammu & Kashmir when they converted the State of Jammu & Kashmir into a Union Territory which lost its International status and legitimacy to claim the State Territories which have been illegally, in violation of International Law, and forcibly kept under Pakistan occupation since 1947 (POK) & Gilgit-Baltistan since 1948.

Prof. Bhim Singh said that Govt. of India and its Administration has failed in totality to provide appropriate protection/transportation for their safe return to their homes State, Jammu & Kashmir. They have been held in different States of India including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other unknown places in India because of Coronavirus. The Modi Government has failed even to ensure safe return of thousands boys/labourers/students who are crying in the streets seeking some help/assistance for their safe return to their homes in Jammu & Kashmir and particularly from the Districts of Kathua, Udahmpur, Doda, Reasi, Ramban, Jammu, Samba and other places.

Prof. Bhim Singh announced that an urgent convention of the leaders from different secular, democratic political parties and NGOs shall be convened in Delhi after the end of Covid-19 disappears and transport facilities shall be convenient.

The National Panthers Students Union (NPSU), Jammu & Kashmir shall convene an ‘Online Meeting’ in the last week of May to chalk out and action plan to restore confidence of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and for restoration of statehood and return of Constitutional rights for the residents of Jammu & Kashmir with the end of anti national & anti people laws.
