Poonch, Jun 19 A truck-driver caught under debris following a landslide has been rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition, officials said.
The driver identified as Mohammad Tariq resident of Behalia Mandi, as per the officials was rescued after strenuous efforts, spanning almost an hour, by a police team assisted by locals. “The driver has suffered critical injuries in the incident and his condition as such remains unstable”, they told GNS.
Meanwhile, the locals have hailed the efforts of Poonch Police, especially SSP Rohit Baskotra, for launching a timely operation to rescue the driver. (GNS)
