Anantnag, July 22, Jammu Kashmir Police Chief Dilbagh Singh Friday said that militants have adopted a new strategy to target innocent people. He said shortly after attacking innocent people with small arms, they disappear but the police have successfully arrested many militants and their associates involved in target killings.
In response to a question, Dilbagh Singh said that social media has badly hit the youth and this platform has ruined the career of people.
He said Pakistani handlers establish contact with militant associates and operatives in Jammu and Kashmir and for that, they use social media to lure innocent youth aged 16-18 years of age.
“These gullible youth lack the true knowledge of religion and fall prey to the designs of handlers,” he said adding that social media has harmed the youth of Kashmir to a large extent.
He said that police and security agencies are well versed and know everything about the militants and their associates. (KNT)
