Rajouri, Oct 13: A man, who was accused of murdering his one month old son in Argu village of Rajouri district, was arrested within 24 hours, police said here.
In a statement, issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), police said that yesterday evening an information was received at police station Rajouri about the murder of about month old boy by his father namely Mohammad Suleiman of Sagote, Argi.
The statement reads that taking cognizance of the matter, a case in FIR 536/2022 u/s 302 IPC was lodged and investigation was started.
“Today, the accused was apprehended by a police team of Police Station Rajouri led by SHO Fareed Ahmed along with SI Mohd Farooq under the supervision of senior officers of District Police Rajouri,” it reads.
It added that the questioning of the accused and further investigation was going on.
“Timely and swift action of Rajouri police helped in solving this case and the accused is now behind the bars,” it reads—(KNO)
