JKFEA seeks regularisation of daily wagers/ casual labours.
Today on 04-06-2020, a meeting of JKFEA leadership was conducted through video conferencing. Addressing the meeting JKFEA State President and EJAC leader Mr Athar Muzaffar Reshi has sought attention of government regarding the plight of casual laboures and daily wagers working in the department. The President has reteriated the demand pressed by EJAC President Mr Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam that the regularisation of daily wagers is not only justified but in line with the requirements in different government departments. Athar Muzaffar said that the daily wagers and casual labours working in Fisheries department have been working from decades with little or no salary and it is imperative on part of the government to make up for the services rendered. The leadership has welcomed the decision of government regarding the recruitments, however they demanded that daily wagers/ casual labours should be given preference in the first place.
