Srinagar: Senior BJP leader and party’s JK spokesman Altaf Thakur extended his greetings and warm wishes to the Sikh community of UT and the country on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Ji, 6th Guru of the Sikh Panth.
“I extend my hearty greetings to the Sikh brothers of JK and rest of the country who are commemorating the life and teachings of Guru Hargobind Ji, the sixth Sikh Guru,” he said in a statement issued here.
He said that Guru Hargobind Singh Ji, through his spiritual wisdom, and compassionate approach, played an important role in shaping Sikh philosophy and defending the principles of justice, equality, and freedom.
“The teachings of Guru Hargobind Ji have a great impact on our society and promoting communal harmony. His message of compassion, selflessness, and the pursuit of truth can guide us in building a just and inclusive society, where every individual’s dignity and rights are respected,” he said.
Thakur said that Guru Hargibind ji was the epitome of unity, brotherhood, truth and great supporter of communal harmony and that we all must follow his footsteps to keep the flock together by burrying the hatred.
