Srinagar, Apr 02 : Authorities on Tuesday shot dead the leopard, believed to be behind the killing of two minor girls in separate places in Budgam district.
An official told that after receiving directions from Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo in the backdrop of the recent incident, the authorities laid traps and made all possible efforts to neutralize the ferocious beast.
“After several days of wait, the Jammu and Kashmir Police killed the leopard at Social-forestry Nursery in Samsan village in Khansahib Budgam,” said the official.
The now dead leopard struck multiple times in March month, claiming lives of two minor girls and injuring a minor boy in Samsan and Hariwani villages. (KS)
