KULGAM, JUNE 17: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today took stock of pace and progress of several developmental projects in the district being executed by PMGSY.
DDC visited Parigam-Matibug Bridge and took stock of present status of the projects, It was informed that the estimated cost of the work project is Rs. 03 crore and is being executed by PMGSY.
The DDC directed the concerned to expedite the pace of work and complete the project within stipulated time.
He also took stock of the ongoing macadamisation process of 4 kilometer Hablish-Devsar road and checked the quality of the material used for black topping work.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shabir Hussain Bhat, Executive Engineer PMGSY and other concerned officers.
In another meeting the DDC provided EWS and domicile certificates to eligible students for the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS).
It was informed in the meeting that designated higher secondary schools in the district will serve as facilitation centers for said purpose.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Shabir Hussain Bhat, all tehsildars besides other officers.
