Srinagar, Apr 12: A girl student has been killed, and over a dozen seriously injured, after a bus carrying students from GDC Sogam met with a fatal accident near Handwara, an official said.
The official told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that a bus from GDC Handwara had gone to pick students from GDC Sogam, and was returning back when it met with a tragic accident near Kulangam area.
“A girl student died instantly in the accident, and many others were seriously injured,” the official said.
“The injured students were soon after evacuated to DH Handwara, from where several students have been referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment,” the official said, adding, “the death toll may go up due to serious nature of injuries to several students.”
