Kulgam,15 July : Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam Athar Aamir Khan (IAS) today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli in the district.
The scheme aims to increase share of solar roof top capacity and empower residential households to generate their own electricity and reducing the monthly billing with significant financial contribution from the government.
Executive Engineer KPDCL Kulgam while giving the power point presentation aprised the chair that around 2070 applications have been received for registration in the district.
The DC emphasized on the division wise mass outreach campaign to sensitize public about the scheme. He also directed the KPDCL officials to ensure timely installation of the roof top solar plants and release of subsidies to beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by ACR Reyaz Ahmad Shah, SDM Noorabad Bashir ul Hassan, ACD Bilal Ahmad Kamgar, CPO Malik Suheel, Tehsildars DH Pora/ Kulgam, XEN KPDCL, LDM , DTO, JKEDA , All AEE’s, AE’s, JE’s of KPDCL and RDD officials participated in the meeting.
