Over 23 Coronavirus cases have emerged in Rohmu village. An elderly person has already died due to Covid-19 infection in the said village.

Sources told news agency KNT that a team led by Tehsildar Rajpora Raqib Ahmed visited the village and seized three shops and 2 band saw mills for violating lockdown norms.

On the directions of district administration, even banks and Khadmat Centres have also been shut in the village. Tehsildar Raqib Ahmed said that strict action will be initiated against the violators.

“The village has already witnessed 23 Covid-19 cases and if we don’t take precautionary measures, the pandemic will spread. We have shut Rohmu village for at least 10 days and people have been directed to stay indoors,” he said. (KNT)
