Baramulla 30 June: In total violation of Covid related guidelines and directions issued by the government, a private educational institution of Baramulla district is alleged to be compelling its staff to attend the school.
Sources told Current News Service that the management of Baramulla Public School (BPS, is persistently directed its teaching and non teaching staff to attend the school and to sit there for no cause, despite regular class work having been banned by the government for till further orders.
Sources said that even the staff members from Red Zones are being forced to attend the school to sit their without any work to do.
One of the teachers from Red Zone area told CNS on phone, “ When we are teaching students from our homes, through online classes, what is a fun to gather teachers and other staff members at the institution, which is only aimed at harassing and nothing else.
Meanwhile, sources in the staff further said that when there is no public transport and other facilities available to the teachers, how they can reach Baramulla from far-flung areas and for what purpose.
“It is a punishment for them and nothing else”, they added.
Rebutting the allegation, Principle Baramulla Public School Bashir Ahmad Ganaie said, “We have called only four members of non-teaching staff, for some office works.”
He added, “We have not directed the teaching staff to attend their duties.
Meanwhile CEO Baramulla G.M Lone told CNS that he will look into the matter. (CNS)
