DDC Ganderbal reviews developmental scenario in district
GANDERBAL JULY 14: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of the officers from key departments to review the developmental scenario and progress of mega developmental projects in district here at Conference hall, Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.
At the outset, the DC sought details of ongoing projects of PHE, PWD, PDD, Health, sectors besides District Capex budget achievements.
While reviewing the sector-wise performance of the line departments, the departmental heads apprised the DC about physical and financial progress on major ongoing developmental projects.
The meeting also reviewed the status of various taken up under languishing projects ongoing projects which include construction of Dak Banglow at Fatehpora, construction of motorable bridge over Nallah Sindh at Bamloora, Yechama Kangan Bridge, Bridge at Akhal Kangan besides polytechnic College at Hatbura, construction of DIET building at Nunnar, construction of Degree College at Kangan and Ganderbal
Taking stock of languishing projects, the DC stressed the district heads to achieve the targets strictly as per the set timeline for completion of these vital projects in the district.
The meeting also discussed the macadamization of roads in the district for which DC exhorted upon the executive engineers of R&B to expedite the macadamization work process prioritizing the vital roads of the district.
The DC laid stress on timely completion of the projects besides ensuring all SOPs related to COVID-19 are followed at all working places in letter and spirit.
The DDC asked the departmental heads to work with full zeal and zest and sought co-operation so that targets are achieved in set timeframe and emphasizes on regular monitoring of works as per prescribed guidelines.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineers of PHE, I&FC and R&B, CMO, CEO besides other district and sectoral officers.
