Sopore Police arrested a notorious drug peddler/supplier along with Drugs
Sopore, 14 July 2020: Continuing its sincere efforts against Drug menace in Police District Sopore.
Police Station Sopore during naka checking at Shangergund apprehended a notorious drug peddler namely Nasir Ah Khawaja S/O late Ab Samad Khawaja R/O Seelo Sopore and recovered 143 Capsules of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus and 12 Bottles of Codeine from his possession which he was carrying for distribution among youth.
In this connection a case FIR No. 184/2020 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Sopore and further investigation is going on.
The Sopore Police will continue its war against the drug peddlers/dealers in order to save the young generation from the menace of drug abuse. it is pertinent to mention here that the Police station Sopore has arrested 38 drug peddlers in 22 NDPS cases since March 2019, and 5 among them were booked under PSA. Even during covid-19 pandemic Sopore Police had continued its mission and has arrested 10 accuseds In last 5 months in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sopore in 6 NDPS cases and will continue with same dedication till the eradication of this menace from society.
