DDC Shopian inaugurates Eco-Tourism Society Heerpora
SHOPIAN, JULY 29: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin today inaugurated Heerpora eco-tourism society meant for conservation of Markhoor and to save the environment from the rising pollution levels.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC stressed that the need of the hour is to train the people of the Heerpora village with regard to the conservation of Markhoors and other wildlife animals besides imparting them training regarding latest technology used in the purpose to enable them to earn for their livelihood.
Among others, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM Zainapora, Manager Wildlife Trust of India, Field Officer and Wildlife Warden were present on the occasion.
