BJP Sarpanch shot dead by militants in Kulgam
Srinagar, 04 Aug, KDC: Suspected militants on Tuesday evening shot dead a Sarpanch in Akhram mir bazaar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A police official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com -(KDC) that suspected militants tuesday late evening in Mir Bazar area fired indiscriminately upon a Sarpanch affiliated with Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).
Meanwhile, Sarpanch was immediately shifted to Qazigund hospital from where doctors shifted him to GMC Anantnag. However he succumbed to injuries on way to GMC.
They identified the deceased BJP sarpunch as Arif Ahmad shah (22) son of Mushtaq Ahmad shah of Akhran Mir Bazar area of Kulgam.(KDC)
