Doda:A young scholar hailing from remote Marmat area of district Doda breathed his last at his residence yesterday. Anis Ur Rehman S/O Late Mohd Sadeeq Wani of village Roat tehsil Marmat of Distt Doda was diagnosed with brain tumor few months ago.
Bidding the final adieu is always a difficult thing for family and relatives. The last rights of the deceased were performed today at 10 am in the residential village Roat Marmat.
Due to COVID-19 and restrictions of social gatherings, most of the relatives had to watch the funeral of the decessed on facebook as they could not accompany the funeral.
Born in Roat Village in 1993, Anis Ur Rehman lost his three months-long battle with brain tumor this Tuesday, few days before he turned 27. He was admitted to hospital where he was diagnosed with this deadly disease the report said.
Due to the movement restrictions and social distancing rules, only the family members could attend his funeral.
It is pertinent to mention here that Anis Ur Rehman was son of Mohammad Sadeeq Wani Teacher in department of education who had died due to the same disease some years ago.
Anis Ur Rehman was a brilliant student of Govt Hr Sec School Goha. Later had joined the same school as lecturer in Chemistry on contract basis. He was doing research in chemical science.
