The residents of Gousia Colony, Kuchmulla expressed deep anguish over the dilapidated conditions of wooden electric poles from few years and are prone to any kind of serious accident.
“The senior citizen and former Numbardar of the village, Gh Hassan Sheikh said, that the wooden electric poles were planted few years back by the residents of Colony on the directions of PDD department and have assured us that the replacement of these electric poles would be done on priority but still no one from the department has taken cognizance over the appalling situation. We have filed number of complaints in the PDD department ,Sub district, Tral, but our genuine demands have not been heard so far by anyone.”
Moreover, the grave concern is that the electric wires are quite diffused and dangled. The dangled wires are tasseled, passing over the Batagund road and is prone to any serious accident, especially during heavy rains or snowfall as the condition of electric become even worst.
Now residents of the Gousia Colony demand from the DC Pulwamma that their genuine demands must be redressed on priority so that these dilapidated wooden electric poles must be replaced with iron poles as soon as possible.
