Police arrest accused for raping minor in Uri Jungle
Uri, Oct 28: Police have arrested an accused for raping a minor girl in Uri town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The accused who is over 19 years old and identified as Nazim Hussain Kataria abducted a 10 year old girl and tarnished her chastity in a tin shed inside the Jungle.
Station House Officer, Police Station Uri, Muhammad Ashraf Pal told News Agency KNT that one Muhammed Azad Katariya son of Muhammed Akbar Katariya of Navarounda village reported at police station that his daughter aged about 10 years (name with held) was kidnapped and raped by one person namely Nazim Hussian Katariya son of Lateef Katariya of Navarounda at an abandoned tin shed in a jungle.
He said after receiving the complaint, the accused was arrested while after conducting medico legal formulties victim was handed over to parents.
“In this regard a case vide FIR number 151/2020 under section 363,376 IPC, 3/4 POCSO was registered at police station Uri,” he said. (KNT)
