Baramulla Police Distributes COVID Essentials Among BPL Families in Uri

Srinagar, Nov 26: In continuation with its measures under Civic Action Programme to combat prevailing pandemic Baramulla police on Thursday distributed a COVID-Kit among the poor and deserving families in this frontier district.
A statement received by GNS reads that the kits were distributed among one hundred families falling under the jurisdiction of sub-division Uri in the district.
Each kit, as per the statement, is comprising of Face shield, N-95 Masks, Triple layer Masks, Oximeter, Digital Thermometer, Sanitizer bottles, Hand Gloves and Dettol Soap.
The function held at Chandanwari saw a large participation from below-poverty line families who had come to avail the benefits of the programme amid proper seating arrangements, the statement maintained.
On the occasion, SSP Baramulla made the people aware of the Covid-19 Pandemic and also highlighted the requirement and utility of the items provided, the statement reads.
A similar initiative was earlier on taken to facilitate the families in sub-division Baramulla even as the statement maintains that the process will continue in other sub-Divisions of the district.
Besides SSP concerned, SDPO Uri Junaid Wali and all SHOs of Sub-Division Uri alongside people from different walks of life were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile people in the area, as per the statement, have appreciated the role of district police for helping them. (GNS)
