JAMMU: The government on Tuesday assigned different tasks for COVID-19 management to its senior officers in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the order issued by General Administration Department, Financial Commissioner, Finance Department, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta will be the Nodal Officer for coordination with banks and maintaining smooth flow of funds to the public and to relief efforts and also Monitor implementation of PM Garib Kalyan Yojana.
Atal Dulloo, IAS, Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education Department shall be the overall incharge of UT Coordination-COVID-19 response effort.
Shaleen Kabra, IAS, Principal Secretary, Home Department have been assigned task as Nodal Officer for mobilization of volunteers, training, deployment (as and when required) for assistance to the Administration in COVID-19 Management. Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, IAS, Principal Secretary , School Education Department and Talat Parvez Rohella, KAS, Secretary, Higher Education Department will assist Shaleen Kabra.
Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department, Dheeraj Gupta shall coordinate with Urban Local Bodies including elected representatives, for COVID-19 management activities with focus on sanitation drives, and fumigation and also to assist Health Department in devising administrative mechanism for planning, conduct and supervision of door to door survey in Jammu and Srinagar cities to ascertain the spread of COVID-19.
Dheeraj Gupta, IAS, Principal Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi and Niraj Kumar, IAS, Additional Resident Commissioner and Ex-officio Secretary, Resident Commission, J&K Government, New Delhi shall coordinate issues related to students, patients and other residents of J&K affected by lockdown and currently in different parts of the country.
Navin Kumar Choudhary, IAS, Principal Secretary, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department, additional charge of Agriculture/Horticulture shall ensure restoration of Agriculture/Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry activities while maintaining social distance.
Rohit Kansal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Information Department and Dr. Sehrish Asgar, IAS, Director Information, J&K shall coordinate all Media and Information efforts.
Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Shailendera Kumar shall monitor the smooth functioning of old age home, child care institutions, observation homes, besides coordinating with police for utilizing their helpline for senior citizens and ensuring smooth transfer of pensions, scholarships and other assistance.
Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Anoo Malhotra, KAS, Director, Industries Commerce, Jammu and Mahmood Ahmad Shah, KAS, Director, Industries Commerce, Kashmir shall act as Nodal Officers for restoration of Industrial Production activities in a controlled manner, maintaining production supply chains and coordination efforts.
Sarita Chouhan, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment as Nodal Officer for Geo-Spatial and Temporal Mapping and Deployment of Forest staff with Deputy Commissioners for Geo-Spatial and Temporal Mapping of COVID-19 cases.
Sanjeev Verma, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu shall coordinate quarantine facility and all other administrative arrangements in Jammu Division and for the purpose, Yasha Mudgal, IAS, Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited has been deployed as Additional Commissioner in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for assisting in Coronavirus mitigation efforts. Yasha Mudgal shall also assist Health & Medical Education Department in Coronavirus mitigation efforts.
Saurabh Bhagat, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, Labour and Employment Department shall coordinate all Labour issues including problems of wage-labourers of J&K currently under lockdown in other parts of the country, running of migrant labour camps, their safety and care.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, PHE/I&FC Department and Arun Kumar Manhas, KAS, Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan shall manage Interstate borders/Jawahar Tunnel and Mughal Road check points for transit of passengers and supplies management.
Pandurang K. Pole, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir shall assist overall coordination including quarantine facility and all other administrative arrangements in Kashmir Division and for the purpose, Mohammad Aijaz, IAS, Managing Director, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has been deployed as Additional Commissioner in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir for assisting in coronavirus mitigation efforts and also assist Health & Medical Education Department in coronavirus mitigation efforts while Owais Ahmad, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, JAKEDA has been deployed in the Health & Medical Education Department as OSD for assisting in coronavirus mitigation efforts.
Sheetal Nanda, IAS, Secretary, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj to assist Health & Medical Education Department in coordination of production, distribution and outreach of masks, so as to achieve universal mask usage In the Union territory of J&K; and for coordination and outreach through Panchayati Raj Institution for public mobilization to ensure social distancing, awareness etc. for prevention of spread of COVID-19.
Simrandeep Singh, IAS, Secretary, Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs shall coordinate essential supplies and logistic chains; implementation of PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and assist Health & Medical Education Department in coronavirus mitigation efforts.
Bhupinder Kumar, IAS, Mission Director, National Health Mission will assist Coronavirus Control efforts at the Union Territory level and Incharge Apex Health Control Room.
Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, KAS, Assistant Commissioner, Survey and Land Records, J&K and Naser Ali, Assistant Commissioner in the State Taxes Department, Jammu have been deployed in the Health and Medical Education Department as OSDs for assisting coronavirus mitigation efforts.
