RAMBAN, APRIL 15: Deputy Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan today informed that district administration has established well equipped 250 bedded quarantine centres at Dhalwas area besides converting around 30 hotels into quarantine centres at Ramban, Banihal, Gool and Batote to facilitate people who are identified for administrative quarantine.
He informed that in the district total 1082 bed quarantine facility has been created and administration is also establishing Wellness Centers at Kanthi, Dharmond, Higher Secondary School, Ramban besides other identified locations across the district to create 500 bed facility for patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) for their further treatment and medical tests in isolation.
All the facilities including sanitation, medical treatment, healthy food and other facilities necessary for comfortable stay there have been ensured by the administration, he added.
Taking a prompt action keeping in view unprecedented prevailing situation and increasing of Corona virus positive cases across the country as well as in other districts of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, district administration has upgraded the Health facilities in all the Health Institutions of the district.
He further informed that administration has created 50 bedded special wards and installed two new ventilators in District Hospital (DH) Ramban to tackle any emergency related to COVID-19 besides providing each of them 1000 N-95 masks and sanitizers in addition to 15 numbers of PPE kits to ensure safety of doctors, paramedical staff as well as frontline workers deployed in COVID-19 duty.
Besides this a well equipped 25 bedded special health centre has also been established in Trauma Hospital, Ramban with 25 bed facility at Sub District Hospital, Gool by the administration to meet emergency situation.
