18 May Pattan VOK: Fear gripped locals in pattan as 1st COVID-19 positive case reported from Pakipora pattan area of North kashmirs baramulla district
Reports reaching The Voice of Kashmir (VOK) said A 65 year old man from Pakipora pattan tests positive For COVID-19 after he visited Srinagar Hospital for ENT check up.
Sources said that The man had actually came into contact with that doctor whose samples also Tested positive.
As the News of 1st positive case surfaced on social media BMO pattan Dr. Tasavuar Deputed a Team comprising of Dr.Ashraf, Dr. Aijaz and Clinic Psychologist M.Shafi to the said village
The health department was also accompanied by Executive Magistrate Pattan, SDPO Pattan, SHO Pattan, DO palhallan and Municipality workers from pattan and hence Fumigated all the infected zone.
An official from trauma hospital pattan told the VOK that “The patient has total 27 Contacts including 19 primary and rest are secondary contacts”.
“We have traced all the contacts and have sent them Quarantine center” :He said
“The covid positive patient has also met the people who were in Aetiqaf in local masjid and these persons have also been quarantined”: He added.
Eyes of locals were full of tears when 4 persons from Masjid were also taken to administrative Quarantine center
Meanwhile as per precautionary measure The said area has been declared as Red zone , all the entry and exit points have been blocked by police, while the locals have also been advised not to venture out from their houses.(VOK)
