SRINAGAR: Following the gas leakage in Lassipora area of South Kashmir, a youth from Budgam died on thursday, officials said.
As per the officials, a 20-year-old youth from Daharmuna Budgam died due to gas leakage at a cold storage unit in Lassipora area.
Officials told The News Now that a youth who was working in cold storage at Industrial Estate in Lassipora Pulwama died due to suffocation.
“The deceased was identified as Hilal Ahmad Beigh (20), son of Mohammad Maqbool Beigh of Daharmuna Budgam,” the official said.
Soon after the incident, he was rushed to the nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, they said.
A police officer confirmed the death due to gas leakage at the cold storage unit. A case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been taken up.
