Jammu: The Jammu Warriors Front (JWF) on Saturday urged the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor to come up with concrete relief measures for a larger section of the society whose livelihood has got affected by lock down imposed by the authorities in view of Coronavirus outbreak in Jammu and Kashmir.Rajesh Gupta Chairman Jammu Warriors Front urged LG, Government should be practical in its action, as mere lip service will not fetch desired results. There is a need to ease common man’s pain, burdens and financial anxieties,” he said. “In absence of assured essential commodities, price check and financial package, we cannot win war against COVID-19,” he asserted.. JWF Chief said, to provide essential commodities immediately to people in J&K, including those who do not have access to Aadhaar and ration cards amid the nationwide lockdown. He emphasized upon the need of making available all essential commodities and ensuring that prices are kept under strict control and check. “Poor needy farmers, youth and laborers should be given financial package so that common people can have both times meal.
Rajesh Gupta raised serious concern over the plight of families whose livelihood has got badly hit due to these mandatory restrictions. He expressed resentment against the Jammu and Kashmir Government for acting in a slow pace to the miseries and sufferings of common masses. He appealed to the government to come up with measures on war footing to help the people who are unable to sustain their families in these hard times. He further appealed to the Government to provide Rs 5000 for poor and affected families. He urged that people should also be provided pulses, oil, salt, sugar and soap.
