Sikh Bodies condemn shifting of service matter of J&K and Ladakh UTs to CAT

J&K: Meeting of Sikh United Front J&K and an amalgam of Various Sikh Organization J&K held through telephonic under the chairmanship of S. Sudhrshan Singh Wazir Chairman Sikh United front J&K, S. Dayal Singh Wazir Chairman Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, S. Mohinder Singh Chief Organizer Bhai Kaniya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex Member DGPC Jammu and S. Darbinder Singh President Shiromani Akali Dal J&K and S. Kulwant Singh Khajuria Joint Secretary Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, the participants showed their resentment and condemned the order issued by the department of personal & Training  Govt. of India for shifting of service matter of J&K  and Ladkh UT’s Government Employees  to the Central  Administrative Tribunal (CAT)  Chandigarh. The decision hazards thousands of employees as service matters pending in the Jammu and Srinagar wings of J&K High Court pertaining to claims of promotions, pensions, transfers, stay, quashing of selection list, disciplinary matter shall be shifted to CAT in Chandigarh. The employees, pensioners, contractual, daily wagers, adhoc basis and fourth class employees having meager salaries shall have to suffer while attending CAT at Chandigarh to get justice. On one hand the Govt. to assure to to provide door step justice to the public and the other hand making the system deterrent to the aggrieved people. The cumbersome process and hearing of cases for away on Chandigarh will create hardship for employees. The front felt that the abrogation of article 370, the Govt. of India snatching the rights of people of J&K one by one. Firstly the Govt. snatched the livelihood of Lawyers by the transferring registry powers to SDMs and now by this order the Lawyers will be hurt most.

The Lawyer’s fraternity showed strong resentment over this new notification and felt betrayed by the BJP Govt., and said the BJP govt. give this type of rewards to the nationalist people of J&K and Ladhkah region. The Front appealed to Hon’ble  Prime Minister Shri Narinder Modi and  Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to intervene  personally and withdraw this order at  its earliest. The JKSUF also appealed to social organization and fronts, Political parties and like minded people to come on one platform to wage  struggle to get back status  of statehood of J&K.
