BUDGAM, JUNE 22: The District Magistrate, Budgam today inaugurated two day sensitisation cum awareness workshop for service providers affiliated with different types of business activities, particularly shopkeepers all across the district here.
The aim of organizing such workshop is to impart trainings to stakeholders by speakers comprising of trained medicos and other experienced persons currently dealing with such emergencies amid Covid-19 pandemic, besides prepare them to follow all guidelines, instructions prescribed to keep themselves and customers safe and secure from any effect of Covid-19 pandemic.
The orientation workshop is being organized by DDMA, District administration Budgam in close coordination with District Health Authorities and other concerned and will run for two consecutive days.
Speaking on the occasion the DM Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza also DDMA chairman, said that Covid-19 pandemic containment is a challenge, we have to sustain our efforts with commitment to defeat it positively and that the time should not reach to such alarming situation, where there will be no space left in the hospitals for treatment of COVID-19 patients.
The DM urged service providers to follow all precautionary measures as being crucial stakeholders in helping administration to fight this pandemic with much compassion.
The DM emphasized that it is imperative for all not to hesitate while going for Covid-19 test for being prime precautionary step, in addition strictly adhere to SOP’s and government instructions while attending any assignment or business activity with positive mind set.
He said there is need to involve services of all working at grass root level and in this regard, Village Level Committees have been set up, where PRI functionaries, senior citizens, Asha workers and VLWs with their involvement will help in carrying the massive awareness campaigns against COVID-19 pandemic across the district with enormous success.
Among others, the workshop was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Nasir Ahmad, CMO Budgam, ACD, BMO Budgam, Nodal officer, Dy SP Hq Budgam, Tehsildar Budgam besides others.
